General Appearance: This bike is a very tastefully done one-piece machine, not a parts bike. It appears to have been restored in the last few years, not an older restoration. Very nice overall appearance, low hours. Mostly correct throughout.
Engine and Transmission: Very attractive in appearance with no engine case repair. No broken fins. Correct carb, gen, and hardware. Engine and transmission cases are painted, should be natural finish. Exhaust is plated, sbould be black but chrome exhaust was a common period modification. Distributor cover relay cover, value covers, breather are chrome, should be codivem plate.
Frame: Straight, unmolested original.
Wheels and Brakes: Brakes correct, wheels and tires as original with 400/18 in Coker tires. Spokes are black should be codivem plated.
Forks-Bars: Correct with original, cycleray headlight, guide fender. Light, Horn and mount, ride control, steering dampner and mounting hardware. Has nice period sunglass case mount on bars, nice touch.
Sheet metal: Gas tanks original with correct lines, petcocks, caps, shifter and gate, dash has two red lens, should have green gen lens, wrong speedo (1941) Fenders-original with correct lights front and rear. Correct saddles bas in excellent condition.
Paint: Black frame, forks, bars, headlight, dash, oil tank, primaries, wheels, brakes, all proper. Teak red tanks and fenders are correct but the striping should be black with gold side striping not the white with black. In overall nice shape with minor chips and scuffmarks.
Accessories: Seat wrong year (1947-48) Eng. Guard, Floor Boards, toolbox, pass. foot pegs, stands, coil, petals, leavers chain guards, oil tank, batt box, all excellent shape. As all accessories.
Overall: Some plating tastefully overstated but I am reluctant to take away from bike because these are period modifications. This bike has great eye appeal and should rate a high 2 or low 1 on N.A.D.A standards.
